Where: Hosted at the Yungaburra Hotel with special guest speaker Larry Lopez. Larry has spent most of the past 25 years involved in projects that enable innovation. He has deep experience in technology finance having spent 17 years at Silicon Valley Bank. Larry is the director of several technology-related private companies and venture capital funds, and sits on a number of not for profit boards in Australia and the United States.

This session will incorporate the Future Agro Challenge Pitch Competition and presentations on the current trends and opportunities in agriculture.Each battle round will be followed by a speaker from the agricultural sector providing their perspective on the opportunities and outlining their support for the sector.
Matthew is recognised for his expertise in building and scaling agricultural technology businesses, from early prototyping to capital raising, to exit through trade sale. Agthentic work with all players in the agtech ecosystem from food and agtech startups to investors and corporations.
James is a commercial food industry innovator, experienced in leading technical and innovation projected teams at major Australian and global food companies. As Innovation Manager at FIAL he provides innovation and research connections to the Food and Agribusinesses nationally.
Through participating in a Nuffield Farming Scholarship, traveling through 14 countries, Matthew has gained an insight into the unique, multi-faceted future of agriculture and offers a pragmatic, optimistic vision for the industry to move forward.
