I work with rural and remote North Queensland agricultural industries on building their ICT and digital capacity. As a keen innovator and digital problem-solver, I use every channel to educate rural Australians on the opportunity that digital offers to enhance their lives, businesses and communities.
I was invited to present at the Broadband for the Bush Forum V, in June 2016 with a presentation titled, “Smartphones on remote farms – is their an app for that”
My project work delivers results through creative collaborative partnerships with industry, government NGOs and the commercial sector. My focus is on the delivery of solutions NOW with the use of off-the-shelf or implementation-ready digital products and services and solutions
Previously, I was the editor for five years of the Rural-IT magazine for Rural Press, was the ABC North Local Radio Internet Expert, authored a Farmers Guide to Software in 2007 and co-authored a national audit of agricultural online services in 2011.
