Pitch:
Ubot Autonomous Citrus Harvestor picks oranges using deep learning algorithms, costs less than a human and works 24/7

The Problem And How You Are Solving It:
Farmers cannot get enough labour to pick fruit. The labour is expensive. Fruit is rotting on trees. Ubot Autonomous Citrus Harvestor uses deep learning object detection algorithms to pick oranges. A soft-touch gripper removes oranges from tree and places in the bin. The robot searches the entire treetop to bottom up to 1 metre inside the tree then moves to the next tree. The speed is similar to a human. The robot cost to the farmer is $10 a 400kg bin of oranges instead of $30 a 400kg bin for a human. The robot will pay for itself in 9 months. The robot will work 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Business Description:
Ubot has completed a one arm prototype and is now building a 4 arm commercial version. Initial testing of the new arm starts in mid-October. We have many farmers ready to purchase at 60k for the robot. We need to increase volume and to reduce the cost of each robot.
