What and Where

Past selected finalists today have received investments up to $13.3M, as well as, investments from Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher!

Could you be next? Applications are closing soon! The leading global competition in agrifood technology and innovation is looking for the next Agripreneur of the Year.

Do you have a fundable idea in food, agtech or agriculture that could secure your spot as one of the 50 selected innovators from more than 150 different countries?

Startup and Innovation Tablelands is the Australian host for the Future Agro Challenge (FAC) and we are calling for anyone involved in a new or existing business developing innovative strategies to enhance agriculture and related businesses to submit their entries by 5th November.

This could be your big break. But there is no time to wait, entries close 5th November!

The competition itself will be held at Mt Uncle Distillery on Saturday, 18th of November with entries from across Australia. The event is open to the public and we welcome all to join us and observe the showcase of ideas. This also presents a great opportunity for investors to meet some of the brightest minds in agriculture.

The Australian winner will win flights and accommodation to attend the Future Agro Challenge (FAC) Global Championships which will occur during the Global Agripreneurs Summit in April 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Future Agro Challenge (FAC) aims to make a global impact by increasing interaction amongst agro innovators, entrepreneurs, stakeholders and investors by addressing national policies and challenges.

Selected agripreneurs will gain access to world class mentors, investors, potential clients, and new market opportunities.

FAC is the largest global competition that discovers innovative fundable food, agtech, and agriculture ventures from various corners of the globe. FAC provides key tools and opportunities to help entrants grow their business and expand into new markets.

There is not a simple solution to the complex global challenge of feeding an estimated 9 billion people by 2050 and we need to work together to find solutions and support those developing new agricultural mechanisms.

The FAC was ignited in Greece and has since spread across the globe providing an avenue for local agro-innovators to get their ideas heard and adopted. Your chance to be part of this movement in Far North Queensland is coming up
soon!
